Strategy for Cuba’s freedom is best expressed by the song “Homeland AND LIFE”

(Interamerican Institute for Democracy) The change of government in the United States has resurfaced the discussion of what U.S. policy regarding Cuba’s dictatorship ought to be. The Castroist regime has undertaken an intense campaign to stop the sanctions against it and to be removed from the list of those States that sponsor terrorism. The situation of crisis and extreme impoverishment that the dictatorship has caused the Cuban people is unsustainable. Civil resistance has grown and defiance to the regime installed in 1959 increases. While political pressures, great economic interests and good faith actors debate this matter, the real-life analysis of the situation and the strategy to free Cuba is best summarized in the song HOMELAND AND LIFE.

A four minute and three second musical video, a song recorded in Havana and Miami with six Cuban rap and reggaetón song-writer singers best portrays in its lyrics the clearest analysis of the situation of Cuba’s people and propounds the strategy needed to regain Cuba’s freedom that all political leaders, governments, academicians, businesspeople, defenders of freedom and human rights and the whole world should understand.

Yotuel Romero, Descemer Bueno, the Zone’s People duo (Randy Malcom and Alexander Delgado) and the rappers Maykel Osorbo and The Funky, beyond presenting an extraordinary artistic rendering, bring us in the lyrics of their song the description of Cuba’s problem, an analysis of its situation, the identification of the foe and proposes with clarity the objective of the Cuban people, showing that the only way out is best summarized in the song’s title “Homeland and Life”.

Description of the problem:
“And you are my mermaid’s song. And this feeling is already old. You hurt me so much although you are far away. Today I invite you to walk by my plots so I can show you what your ideals are good for. We are human although we do not think alike. Let us not neither treat. nor harm, ourselves as animals” “My people cry out and I feel their voice” . . . “While at home in the pots there is no food. What do we celebrate if people walk in a hurry bartering Che Guevara and Marti for foreign money?” Publicity of Paradise at Varadero while mothers cry for their children who are gone” “We are artists, we are sensibility. The situation’s analysis:
“All has changed it is no longer the same. Between you and I there is an abyss” “No more lies. My people ask for freedom, not more doctrines” “Lest not bloodshed continue for wanting to think different. Who told you that Cuba is yours? If my Cuba belongs to all the people!” “It has already run out of time; silence has been broken . . . laughter is already gone . . . and crying is already spread . . . and we are not afraid, deception is over with . . . it’s sixty-two (years) harming us”.
“There, is where we live with the past’s uncertainty engrained on to us. Fifteen friends in place, ready to die. We yet raise the flag under the up-to-date repression of the regime, Anamel and Ramon steadfast with their poetry. Omara Ruiz Urquiola giving us life’s encouragement, they broke our door, raped our temple and the world is aware that the San Isidro movement remains in place”.

Identification of the foe:
“This is the way to tell you: My people cry I am their voice. You five-nine (1959) I double-two (2020). Sixty years attempting to block the dominoes”. “With great fanfare to THE FIVE HUNDRED FROM HAVANA . . .” “We still remain the same, security always sticking its nose. Those things how I hate them, the enigma is gone, your revolution is already malignant. . .” “People are tired to be enduring, a new awakening is what we are hoping for”.

The Cuban people’s objective:
“It is finished!!”. My people ask for freedom not more doctrines. Let us no longer chant out Homeland or Death, but instead HOMELAND AND LIFE, and start to build what we dream for, what you have destroyed with your hands”.

“It is finished, it has run out of time, silence has been broken . . . and we are not afraid, deception is over with . . .”

Thus, clear and brief, Cuban people’s future is not attainable neither with the Castroist regime nor with the prolongation of the dictatorship under any circumstance. Dictatorships are only sustained by internal force, by international intrigue, by organized crime that it operates and by the threats that Castrochavism represents and that it directs and has integrated controlling Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and the Fernandez/Kirchner’s government of Argentina.

Cubans no longer want dictatorship and no one cannot under the label of “assistance” enable the survival of a persistent violator of human rights and declared enemy of the United States and the Americas and other worldwide democracies.

Experts, listen to the Cuban people: “It is finished!”
