ECUADOR UNDER CASTRO CHAVISM’S TERRORIST ATTACK. WHO IS NEXT?

(Interamerican Institute for Democracy) The attack that is taking place against the people and the government of Ecuador is not a matter of internal politics, it is a transnational attack perpetrated by the most dangerous group of organized crime that holds political power in Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia, a group that for ten years, oppressed Ecuador with Rafael Correa as dictator.  “CastroChavism” targets Ecuador because it needs to revert Ecuador’s return to freedom and democracy, both of which threaten CastroChavism’s impunity.  Today, it is Ecuador that is under the CastroChavism’s terrorist attack, but the question is, who is next?

CastroChavism is “the Transnational Organized Crime’s system that usurps political power in Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Nicaragua, that must be dealt with as an organized crime’s structure and not as a political process.   The severity, recurrence, re-incidence and impunity of the crimes committed by Castro/Diaz Canel, Maduro, Morales, Ortega/Murillo and those who comprise their regimes, added to the transnational structure they have developed, have reduced the oppressed nations to a state of helplessness and represent the most serious threat against the Americas’ peace and security”.

This concept, included in the book “CastroChavism, Organized Crime in the Americas” is being authenticated by the actions that are being perpetrated in Ecuador where, under the pretext of rejecting the State’s subsidies to diesel and gasoline fuels and  under the guise of an indigenous peoples’ protest, a plan -admitted by Rafael Correa- has been hatched to carry out terrorist actions to topple President Lenin Moreno and return Correa to the government.

Correa’s trips to Venezuela and Cuba, his statements and social network activities, are ample evidence that the criminal actions now taking place in Ecuador were prepared and were only waiting for a pretext or catalytic event that was given with the decree stopping the subsidies to fuel oils.  The transnational nature of the attack was confessed in Venezuela by Diosdado Cabello who admitted the Castroist Chavist intervention in the destabilizing processes in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and other countries, Cabello used the criminal sophism of these being “a Bolivarian gentle breeze”.  The facts reveal the actions of foreigners in Ecuador.

We are witnessing CastroChavism’s counter-attack in order to sustain its dictatorships in Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Bolivia.  It is about shifting the world’s attention away from Venezuela’s humanitarian crisis, Cuba’s new special period, Nicaragua’s massacres, and the narco-state of Bolivia’s vote-catching fraud, to the whole region.  The counter-attack consists of destabilizing all democracies.

For the past 60 years, Cuba’s dictatorship has always promoted and executed violence, destabilization, guerrilla warfare, threats, terrorism, corruption, narcotics’ trafficking and all sorts of crime to keep those countries -who it considers enemies to be neutralized or subjected- busy by creating their own problems.   This old but successful strategy was used in very similar circumstances that Ecuador is enduring when the democratically elected government in Bolivia was toppled in October of 2003.

The crisis in Ecuador unleashed by Castroist Chavist terrorism has the conditions to last a few weeks longer, but it is already defeated because it is a foreign attack and has awaken the peoples’ indignation.  Objectively speaking, President Lenin Moreno will finish his mandate because this is now a national imperative.  The opposition’s political parties and leadership, acting on behalf of national interests and with great political intelligence, are backing the President’s and the government’s stability because they know that if Moreno falls, he will do so on top of them.  They acknowledge Moreno’s merit for restoring democracy in Ecuador and the price he is paying in the undisguised attack and vengeance of the Castro Chavist Correism.

The attacks against the Government’s Comptroller and its offices wherein Rafael Correa’s and his criminal group’s evidence of crime may be found, besides being new crime that involves Correa himself, are a public demonstration of his fear of losing impunity and the subsequent criminal charges he may be condemned for, sentencing that undoubtedly and with an independent judicial branch will not be long in coming.  The role of Ecuador’s free press, one of the main victims of Correa’s dictatorship, is vital and appreciable in circumstances in which not just the stability but also the integrity of its country is threatened.

Through blood, sweat, and tears, Ecuador will defeat Castro Chavism’s attack and the government will come out of this strengthened, but for the organized crime’s group that threatens Americas’ democracies, it will continue with attacks, violence and crime.  The questions are; until when? and who is next?
